The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology caters to a broad range of in-patient and out-patient services with general obstetric and gynaecologic problems in a tertiary care hospital. It offers sub-specialty services in maternal-fetal medicine, urogynaecology, gynaecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology, subfertility, and minimally invasive gynaecologic surgeries. The Department has a strong academic portfolio including undergraduate and postgraduate training programmes.
As the Chair you will provide dynamic leadership to the department and will have overall responsibility for the conduct of its academic, faculty development, strategic planning, research uptake and service mandate consistent with the mission and policies of the University, inclusive of its secondary hospitals and other outreach facilities incorporated within the Hospital.
You must have a passion and commitment to work in a highly competitive and dynamic setting with a visionary leadership outlook; having suitable post-graduate medical qualifications with extensive academic track record of publications in high indexed peer-reviewed journals. In addition, you should have a grant funding profile including grants from extra-mural sources along with clinical expertise, administrative edge and leadership experience in a teaching hospital.
