Netflix has signed a multi-year deal value $200 million with the author and producer pair behind the hit series, Game of Thrones (GoT), in keeping with Hollywood newsperson.
According to selection, Netflix won once a many-sided bidding war narrowed from the six major studios to only Netflix, Amazon, and Disney.
Winning this contract implies that the talent behind GoT can write, manufacture and direct new TV series and flicks completely at Netflix.
“We are excited to welcome master storytellers David Benioff and Dan Weiss to Netflix.
“They are an ingenious force and have delighted audiences worldwide with their epic storytelling. we tend to can’t wait to examine what their imaginations can bring around our members,” aforesaid Netflix chief content officer plug-ugly Sarandos.

Sources shared that even Apple had shown interest in bringing Benioff and Weiss under a deal. Netflix began sealing the deals in 2017, the first was inked with Shonda Rhimes and Jenji Kohan.
Ryan Murphy, Kenya Barris, Brad Falchuk and others soon joined the bandwagon. Furthermore “Pose” director, producer, and writer Janet Mock signed with Netflix in a groundbreaking overall deal, the first out transgender woman to do so.
