IST doesn’t conduct its own entry test. The results of following tests are accepted to apply for admission in undergraduate programs of IST:

a) NAT which is conducted by NTS
b) HAT which is conducted by ETC
c) SAT-II which is conducted by College Board

Applicants have an option to apply for admission in IST either on the basis of NAT or HAT or SAT II. Applicants can appear in any one of the above-mentioned tests and can use the higher score to apply for admission in IST i.e. if an applicant has obtained a higher score in NAT then he/she should apply on the basis of NAT. Likewise, if an applicant has a higher score in HAT or SAT II then he/she should apply on the basis of HAT or SAT II.

Further details related to NAT/ HAT/ SAT II are given below:

NAT Acceptable Test Dates

Please note that NAT-1E is acceptable for admission in all undergraduate programs offered by IST whereas NAT-1CS is acceptable only for admission in BS Space Science.

The test is conducted by NTS in all major cities of Pakistan.
