Karandaaz Pakistan promotes access to finance for small business through a commercially directed investment platform and financial inclusion for individuals by employing technology enabled digital solutions.
Karandaaz manages capital committed by the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID) to catalyse the development of a market for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) finance in Pakistan. Subject to regulatory approval, Karandaaz plans to set up a commercially driven and privately managed special purpose vehicle (SPV) to improve access to finance for SMEs.
In this regards Karandaaz seeks to engage the services of a bidder to develop a detailed business plan, complete with sectoral focus, financial projections, risk profiling, an operationalization strategy, and post-project support for establishing the NBFC. The objective is to create a sustainable NBFC capable of crowding in private commercial capital through various financial instruments. Karandaaz’s target is to register, obtain license and capitalize the NBFC by December 2019.
The call for EOI, submission details and all updates regarding the subject will be uploaded on the website. The EOI is requesting pre-requisite documents and a project brief which must be submitted before 5:00 PM PST on April 29, 2019 to the “Procurement Department”.
