Recently, Mehwish Hayat dropped her fire new item song, “Gangster Guriya.”
Mehwish is seen channeling her inner Bollywood diva for the Amna Ilyas, Meera Jee, and Osman Khalid Butt starrer Baaji.
While the song is under fire by the ghairat brigade, there’s something we couldn’t help but pick up on, as mentioned before. It’s pretty Katrina Kaif-esque.
And we did some digging too. Turns out, we’re not the only ones who think Mehwish and Katrina might as well have switched places in their respective item songs. To provide a bit more clarity, the song in question is Katrina Kaif’s Husn Parcham from ZERO.
Just so we’re not mixing stuff up and you think we’re pulling this out of nowhere, let me provide a few comparisons. Now, the first thing might be a bit of a reach, but both item songs start with a dude announcing the beginning of the song. Which, okay, can be said about quite a few item songs. But I went ahead and watched both multiple times – just for you guys. And here are some quick screen grabs that prove this point.
Twitter users were quick to pick up on this too.
Chhapa of Katrina Kaif’s looks, but brilliantly shot. 100/100 for camera and edit. https://t.co/ddFonqHWEu

Screen grabs were shared by them as well and, I mean, I buy the theory, tbh.

Honestly, don’t even take our word for it. See for yourself. Here’s Gangster Guriya.
Here’s Husn Parcham.
Let me know if you see it, too. And honestly, I did some more digging and it’s not just this song either. There are other songs in which Katrina has starred that have more in common with Gangster Guriya…which I guess is okay? Being inspired is fine, no? Let me know what you think in the comments below.
