Yumi Ishikawa Kutto Movement Petition de facto women wear high heels kutsu

TOKYO: Yumi Ishikawa, founder of the KuToo movement, poses after submitting a petition to the Japanese government to protest a “de facto requirement” for women to wear high heels at work. Ishikawa has founded that #KuToo; an online campaign using a pun from a Japanese word “kutsu” that can mean either “shoes” or “pain”.
